Herbert Cave was born around 1890 in Birmingham, and recorded for Edison Bell’s Winner label, and briefly for the Gramophone company.
In 1919 he recorded two religious songs by Stephen Adams (the pseudonym of composer Michael Maybrick.) They were “The Holy City” which focuses on Easter, and “The Star of Bethlehem” which has a Christmas theme.
